United Way Community Impact Internship

United Way of Central Minnesota interns learn about United Way, the network of human service agencies, strengths of the local human service system, challenges, issues, trends and changing needs in Central Minnesota. They gain increased skills in one-to-one communication, group facilitation, public speaking, setting and reaching goals, written communication and working as part of a team. United Way works with each person to take on projects and responsibilities that relate to their interests, skills and goals. Opportunities include: Assist in coordination of initiatives related to United Way's five key goals, conduct targeted outreach to increase community awareness of United Way 2-1-1 community helpline, promote early learning through Success By 6 and Imagination Library, volunteerism promotion, allocation of United Way donations through volunteer review teams and other special projects. Interns add to the quality of what United Way accomplishes in Central Minnesota. They are a tremendous asset to the organization.
