What We Do

In the Saint Cloud School District, more than 4,000 children are eligible for free and reduced price meals. Research has shown that many kids who rely on school meals struggle to get enough to eat during the summer months. For food-insecure children and teens, summer vacation can be a time to dread.

This summer, the St. Cloud Library is partnering with the Yes Network ( to be a lunch site for the USDA’s Summer Food Service Program. Children up to 18-years-old will be able to receive a free, hot meal Monday-Friday from June 12- August 11.

Volunteers are needed to help serve the food, monitor the lunch area, and help with cleanup. Lunches will be served from 11:30-1pm and volunteers are needed from 11:15- 1:30pm.

Please join us for an information session about volunteering led by Ruth Wiechman from the Yes Network:

Thursday, May 25th at 7:00pm in the Array Room OR

Wednesday, May 31st at 2:00pm in the Mississippi Room.
Both rooms are on the first floor of the St. Cloud library, in the hallway to the right of the main entrance.
